The Marburg office of German NGO Humanistic Union (HU) today published details from a lecture of German political activist Mr. Joerg Bergstedt, who reported how the police of German Bundesland Hessen invents crimes trying bringing him into jail. Joerg Bergstedt suspects Hessen’s Minister of the Interior, Volker Bouffier (CDU), to personally take part in such activities from police and other authorities against him.
In detail Joerg Bergstedt explained in an example, that when he was enrolling a banner in the city council of Giessen against a new “edict of danger prevention”, he was immediately attacked by police men in civilian clothes. Joerg Bergstadt told, that in a following criminal proceeding against him, the principal of the city council, Mr. Dieter Gail (CDU), lied as a witness at court, that he had no idea about police presence in the city coucil. Former police president of Giessen, Mr. Manfred Meise, told, that it was a mistake not to ask the principal of the city council for a permission to be present. Later in the criminal proceedings Mr. Joerg Bergstedt detected in the files of the charges against him a report from the police officer responsible for the attack against him. The police officer reported in detail who he was introduced by police president Mr. Meise to Mr. Gail just before the council meeting and told that he explained in detail to Mr. Gail, how many police officers would be present and what strategy was planned for the police operation. A complaint for the false statement had no consequences for Mr. Gail.
Joerg Bergstedt also reported an example of a press release of the mayor of Giessen. Mr. Heinz-Peter Haumann (CDU), declaring he received a bomb threat. Later in investigations Mr. Heinz-Peter Haumann said, that he just feared a bomb, but didn’t receive any threat.
In a third example Joerg Bergstedt reported, how he was taking part in a reading in front of Giessen’s building of justice, police invented graffiti charges, later on even a case of arson and brought twelve poets into prison for that invented charges.
In another example Joerg Bergstedt played with friends softball in front of the court buildings and was observed by the police all the time while doing that. Nevertheless Joerg Bergstedt was arrested together with his friends on the way home for attacking the Giessen office of political party CDU, though police observations proved the opposite.
Joerg Bergstedt told, that he was convicted to prison for such invented crimes, but is just lucky that the Federal Constitutional Court of Germany has interdicted Hessen’s authorities in an interlocutory injunction to execute the cofinement.

Par·tei·buch n. German: Booklet with personal data and number to prove membership in a party
This might be a little bit off-topic. But if I read the words Hessen and Minister, I spontaneously think of Christean Wagner, a former Minister of Justice of Hessen - Wikipedia: “Presseerklärung des hessischen Justizministeriums für den Einsatz elektronischer Fußfesseln zur “Motivation” von Arbeitslosen.”
I think that it is a good idea to have a look at the justice in Hessen.
wie war das noch 1989? da wuchs zusammen, was zusammen gehörte. wobei; die ddr hatte zumindest noch “demokratisch” im namen .
The Bundesland of Hessen may be within their full rights to incriminate somebody for exercising their freedom of speech. I heard that the Bundesland (or is it the Dictatorial Republic) of Bavaria is entitled to send their citizens to serve time in prison in Afganistan. By the way, did anybody hear about a Bavarian or German court of law ruling in that particular case?
It is told, that Bavarians are very quick in thinking. The El Masri case is a good example for this.
After the kidnapping happened, Bavarian prosecutors immediately started a telephone surveillance of the victim, his lawyer and some journalists to get some know-how on the legal situation. There the bavarian jurists probably heard for the first time in their life, that kidnapping and torture might be somehow illegal in Germany and Bavaria.
So only slightly two and a half years after the victim of the kidnapping was set free, just recently, Bavarian authorities put out an arrest warrant against possible kidnappers from Cocaine Import Agency CIA.
